GDPR

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requires us to make clear how we collect and use your personal data.  This statement explains what personal information we collect while you are using the website at the domain foppweb.co.uk.

Casual Visitors.

Although this site does create cookies, we do not collect any personal information from you or analyse any data about your visit for any reason other than a simple visitor-count.  This does involve recording your IP address (to avoid false double-counts) but it is discarded after a short while.

If you choose to modify the default  display by use of the Accessibility Tools (wheelchair icon near the top left of each page), your IP address is recorded for up to 6 hours before being discarded.  This allows your chosen settings to remain active for the likely duration of your visit.

Registered Users.

Volunteers are encouraged to make use of the Members Area and this involves becoming a registered user.  The following personal details are stored on our server and are a necessary part of the registration process to allow access to the parts of the website that are denied to the casual visitor:  Username, Forename, Surname, Email address.   Certain other details are also stored, namely: Membership Level, Account Activation Date, Account Status, Last Login Date.

Once registered, users may optionally edit their user profile to include a phone number, address and company name.  Full access to our website is available without any of these details, but if the user chooses to add them, they also will be stored on our website server while the account is active.

Personal data will be deleted once the account is closed.
