Welcome to the website of Friends of Peterborough Prison (FOPP), a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting prisoners, their families and friends.
Here you can find out about the services we provide and how we operate, and read some personal accounts from our volunteers. Many of our pages begin with a photo and caption to give you a glimpse of what it’s like inside HMP Peterborough. You can find the whole collection here.
We hope you will find the information interesting and useful, and that it will encourage you to join us. If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer, you’ll find information on how to get in touch and the steps involved in joining us. Just browse the site from the main menus and drop-down sub-menus at the top of each page. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please feel free to contact us using any of the methods described on our Contact Us page.
We also have a Members Area, where current volunteers can find the latest information to support them in their role with FOPP.
The wheelchair icon at the top left of each page gives access to a set of tools for visitors with sight problems. Simply click that icon to open the menu of available functions and click again to hide it. The RESET function will restore the default settings.
1st January 2022.
We’ve removed our general visitor counter and replaced it with individual counters for each page, shown near the bottom.
Also, you can now search our site using the search box in the page footer.
