The official prison website confirmed this morning that the prison is now subject to national Tier 4 restrictions. Accordingly, all social visits are now suspended until further notice.
Prison Moves into Tier 3.
From midnight tonight (Friday 18th December), Peterborough will move to Tier 3 of the Covid-19 restrictions. A statement on the official prison website explains that after 4th January 2021, all social visits will be suspended to comply with Tier 3 restrictions.

Responding to a message from Jen, Chair of Friends of Peterborough Prison, the Director of HMP Peterborough, Damian Evans, today expressed his appreciation of our contribution as follows:

Social Visits over Christmas
An announcement posted on the prison website yesterday gives details of the arrangements for prison social visits over the Christmas period. Visits from those living in tier 3 areas will be permitted.
Resumption of Social Visits
HMP Peterborough has announced that social visits are to be re-introduced now that the period of national lockdown has ended. Some restrictions will apply and visits will not be possible by anyone from a tier 3 area. Further details can be found on the Sodexo website here.
